Anamola swears provincial coordinators into office

Chimoio (Mozambique), 20 Apr (AIM) – The National Alliance for a Free and Autonomous Mozambique (Anamola), led by former presidential candidate Venancio Mondlane, on Saturday swore into office 10 provincial coordinators, who will represent the party across the country.

Speaking during the ceremony in the central city of Chimoio, Mondlane challenged the new coordinators to serve with ethics and responsibility, placing the interests of the people above personal interests.

“With great ethics and responsibility, know that you have been sworn into office to serve the party and the Mozambican people. Do not be representatives of the party to serve your own interests. You must satisfy the anxieties of the people,” he said.

“Know that it is your duty to serve the people, to fight to save Mozambicans who are immersed in suffering and poverty. That is why you are being sworn in today, so that together we can work and change the lives of Mozambicans,” he added.

He said that the newly appointed officials are bearing a great responsibility and must work in their provinces to find solutions that contribute to improving living conditions.

Mondlane also urged the coordinators to prepare the party for the 2028 municipal elections and the 2029 general elections, calling for “a spirit of unity and hard work.”

“Being a coordinator doesn’t make you more important than other Mozambicans. On the contrary, you are called upon to dignify the image of the party through hard work with a positive impact on the communities,” he said.

Mondlane added that delegates abroad will also be sworn into office in the coming days.
