Maputo, 10 Sep (AIM) – Vietnamese President To Lam believes that the cooperation between Mozambique and his country has been consolidating over time and both countries are boosting economic ties for mutual benefits.
To Lam was speaking, on Monday, at a banquet he hosted for his Mozambican counterpart, Filipe Nyusi, as part of his three-day working visit to Vietnam, both countries are boosting their ties in various economic sectors, generating mutual growth.
“Relations are being consolidated and developed in all areas, exchanges of delegations at all levels are taking place in a vibrant way, through the channels of the political parties in power in both countries, states and national assemblies”, he said, cited by the Portuguese news agency Lusa.
To Lam explained that the joint venture between Mozambican and Vietnamese capital, which resulted in the creation of the Movitel mobile phone operator, is a further demonstration of the commitment to intensifying bilateral ties.
“The joint venture underlines the importance that Vietnam and Mozambique attach to cooperation in the technological and digital fields”, he said.
As well as meeting with various figures from the Vietnamese state, including Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Nyusi signed with his counterpart two agreements in the areas of aquaculture and energy, as well as mineral resources.
