Maputo, 4 Jun – The European Development Fund (EDF) will disburse about 130 million Euros (just over 151 million US dollars at the current exchange rate) to support Mozambique’s economic recovery as part of the Economic Stimulus Support Program.
According to information available on the Ministry of Finance website, the funds are aimed at supporting business development, innovation, and sustainable growth.
Within this funding cycle, available grants range from 5,000 Euros to 250,000 Euros, and the resources can be applied to the recovery of companies affected by economic constraints, the expansion of productive operations, the introduction of technological innovation, the acquisition of equipment, and the increase in production capacity.
Applications should be submitted through the program’s official portal. All proposals will be subject to a rigorous administrative and technical evaluation process, in accordance with the procedures established by the EDF.
The application period runs from June 1st to 30th of the current year, and potential beneficiaries are encouraged to prepare and submit their projects within the established deadline.

Funding will be provided in the form of non-repayable grants, intended to support farmers, entrepreneurs, cooperatives, small and medium-sized enterprises, start-ups and other formally registered organizations that develop economic activities.
